Therefore say, ‘Behold, I give to him My covenant of peace… (Numbers 25:12 NKJV)
Your mind is filled, daily, with many things that overwhelm you. You have deadlines to meet, budgets to plan, and meetings to attend. You’re also faced with mortgage payments, family responsibilities, church commitments, and many other things. You’re left wondering whether you will ever be able to breathe easily again.
I have a word for you: come away with me.
Come to me, you who are burdened and tired, and I will give you rest. Don’t let others lead you to believe that peace will only come after you graduate from college, or finally land that perfect job. Don’t let them convince you that peace will only come when your kids move out, or when you retire. Peace doesn’t come from external experiences or because of your plans. True peace is found in Jesus, and He will give to you abundantly. All you have to do is ask for it, so come away with me.
You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You. (Isaiah 26:3 NKJV)
And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:7 NKJV)
