Thought of the Day 3-2-15

A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. (John 13:34 NKJV)

I came to a reality that, what I do for people I do for Jesus. I was beginning to see how powerful the truth of God living in the people of faith really was! When I treated them with love, I was treating Him with love. And when I treated them carelessly and with indifference, I was treating Him carelessly and indifference. This was becoming a clear reality to me as I was seeing the significance of Jesus Commandment, “to love one another as He had loved us.”

The sobering prophetic words that Jesus had given His disciples were impacting me with a weight I had never experienced before.

And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’ Then He will answer them, saying, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.’ (Matthew 25:40, 45 NKJV)

Two amazing truths were becoming clear to me: (1) unless I loved my brothers and sisters, I could not love God, and (2) when I loved my brothers and sisters, I could not help but love God too!

Thought of the Day 4-3-14

Listen to your heart beat in time. Time is held together by our quietness, which results in His Presence. Sit silent and know that I am God. Your strength and weakness is in your quietness. Your quietness is my desire, and it  moves Angelic Host. The Angelic Host is standing waiting for my heavenly voice to give charge to occupy an area.

I desire for my children to sit quietly and to listen to the winds of the Spirit. My voice is spoken when my people sit and wait to listen for me. My voice is clear when you sit and listen to the still small voice to give direction and clarification of my plans. Give me time in your daily life, and I will consume your being. I am not hard to listen to, just give your time and attention.  Make a place for me in your life. The maturity of my children is in the quietness of their voice in time. Quietness has no agenda, just intimacy. Quietness is the area of rest in your life and also the area of trust. Trust and rest are increased in quietness.

The quietness of your soul is the inheritance of my blessings, so take time and quiet your soul. You quiet your soul by fasting and standing still. Don’t be afraid of quietness, because everything is birthed out of it. The reward of your quietness is a surrendered heart, and a hungriness for the heart of the Father. You learn to trust in quietness. You separate yourself by the quietness of your soul. Submission happens through quietness. Separate yourself from the world by being quiet in His Presence. Listen to blessings as they beat in the quietness of your heart, because our hearts beat as one in the quietness of time. Run not from quietness, but run to quietness. There is intimacy in quietness that brings absolute freedom in you. I will bring prosperity to quietness, because that is where ideas are given.

Behold, I send the Promise of My Father upon you; but tarry in the city of Jerusalem until you are endued with power from on high.” (Luke 24:49 NKJV)

Thought of the Day 3-26-14

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. (Proverbs 3:5, 6 NKJV)

Did you know that you fit perfectly into God’s plan? I know that you often wonder if you are doing enough for God, or if you are actually doing what God has called you to do. God wants you to know that you and what you do for a living is very important to carry out His work on the earth.

You don’t have to go to the jungle to be a witness for The Lord. You don’t have to go to the street corner and preach with a megaphone. Just keep doing what you’re doing and let others see. The reality is, you are a piece of the puzzle. You’re unique and vital to God’s big picture. Just keep doing what you do.

Teach me to do your will, for you are my God. May your gracious Spirit lead me forward on a firm footing. (Psalms 143:10 NLT)
