Thought of the Day 1-31-14

I want to know Christ and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in His sufferings, becoming like Him in His death.  (Philippians 3:10)

Many of God’s sons and daughters are so busy working for Him that they do not have time to spend a few quiet moments alone with Him. We are so busy working for God’s Kingdom that our activities cancel the necessity for solitude and quiet time. We are working for God without experiencing the presence and power of the living Christ.

Trying to serve Christ, without the inspiring strength of the Holy Spirit leads to frustration and eventually to spiritual suicide.  When the ideal of what you are trying to do for Him fades away, when your spiritual reserves are not supplemented by prayer and meditation, when you try to maintain a Christian testimony without making Christ the most important element in your life; then your service will become powerless, without any effect or impact on the world.

If you want to serve the Master, you must put Him first in everything you do. He must be placed first on the agenda of your life. The service you offer Him must be the result of experiencing Him firsthand and not the result of hearsay. Only if you put Him first in everything, can you determine your goal in life according to His will.  If you place Christ first in your life, it will make you a more effective and acceptable son or daughter. Lord, I place you first in my life. You are my inspiration and my motivating strength in the service that I offer to you. Trust Him today with your time. Slow down and smell the roses.

And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent. (John 17:3 NKJV)

And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding, that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life. (I John 5:20 NKJV) font-family:”Segoe UI”,verdana

Thought of the Day 1-27-14

Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart, (Luke 18:1 NKJV)

We have a tendency to lose heart when we pray: God must do it quickly!  When we are waiting, it’s not like our idea of waiting, but it means to be quiet and rest before The Lord. I have found in my experience that He just wants our attention and for us to just sit before Him and listen for His still small voice.  It feels like God is sometimes very distant, even though we know He isn’t, it sure feels that way. He wants His children to look for Him and to spend time in His presence.

And I will wait upon the Lord, that hideth his face from the house of Jacob, and I will look for him. (Isaiah 8:17 KJV)

It is the glory of God to conceal a matter, But the glory of kings is to search out a matter. (Proverbs 25:2 NKJV)

Our hearts should long to be in His presence. Our lives are changed, when we are resting in His presence. In the upper room, they waited ten days for His wonderful Holy Spirit. There is great benefit in waiting (resting) in The Lord.

But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint. (Isaiah 40:31 NLT)

There is strength in waiting upon the Lord, because the Joy of The Lord is our strength. We have to find Joy while we wait on the answer. We know what the answer is according to His Word, but we must have Joy until the answer shows up.

Wait on the Lord; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord ! (Psalms 27:14 NKJV)

He means that we should wait in faith; this is where Joy is increased.

E.M. Bounds said, “The answer to pray is assured not only by the promises of God, but also by God’s relation to us as a Father.”
Oswald Chambers said, “Prayer means that I come in contact with an Almighty Christ, and Almighty results happen along the lines He laid down.”
I encourage you to just be quiet and rest in His presence. This lifestyle is transforming. You will experience a whole new level of His Shalom.

Prophetic Word, 1-23-14, The Grapes and Wineskin

While we were worshiping and praying Wednesday morning, 1-22-14 in the House of prayer, I had a vision that spoke to my heart. I felt led to write it down.
As I was worshiping and praying, I saw a cluster of very large grapes everywhere; they were huge in appearance. The grapes were hanging on vines as if they were weighing down the vines. They were a very bright purple in color and looked very juicy, as if they were about to explode, and very slick in appearance, as though they were washed over and over. Those grapes looked very slick looking, like they had been washed over and over. The grapes were filled with so much Joy that they were on the verge of explosion. They looked as though they had been growing for a long time. At this time, I,heard the Spirit say, “they are ready for the picking.”

Then I saw a very old looking wineskin, and it was cracked and rotting. I was excited about the grapes, but was not excited about the wine skin that I visualized. (Matt. 9:17) I felt like I was going to explode with Joy. I heard the Spirit say, “that you can’t put that juice from those grapes in that old rotten wineskin.” Then I heard the Spirit say, “There is a process to get the juice from the grapes to the wineskin.”

Then again, I heard the Spirit say, “Go for the grapes.” I was excited and filled with Joy again, because The Joy of The Lord is our strength. The Spirit revealed to me that pray and worship is going to be what will explode the grapes. I believe that the process of getting the juice from the grapes is what the body is experience right now.

I say, get the wineskins ready, because the Joy is coming. All I know is, let the Joy come and let the Spirit of The Lord be released!
