Thought of the Day 1-4-16

And when he brings out his own sheep, he goes before them; and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice. Yet they will by no means follow a stranger, but will flee from him, for they do not know the voice of strangers.” (John 10:4, 5 NKJV)

Life can be so overwhelming. As work gets more and more demanding, you wonder how you will ever keep up or wonder how or catch up. Family time is often reduced to a quick meal or simply a good-night kiss and hug. Even Sundays are busier and busier with worship services, church activities, and family dinners. It’s easy to get so consumed in life that you don’t notice His voice.

If you listen carefully you can hear Him amid the daily life calling to you. Can you hear Him saying to you Slow down…..Come away with me…..I love you.

The voice of my beloved! Behold, he comes Leaping upon the mountains, Skipping upon the hills. My beloved is like a gazelle or a young stag. Behold, he stands behind our wall; He is looking through the windows, Gazing through the lattice. My beloved spoke, and said to me: “Rise up, my love, my fair one, And come away. (Song of Solomon 2:8-10 NKJV)
