Confession of the Day 7-14-14

Ephesians 1:17-23
…asking God, the glorious Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, to give me spiritual wisdom and insight, so that I might grow in my knowledge of God. I pray that my heart will be flooded with light so that I can understand the confident hope he has given to those he called—his holy people who are his rich and glorious inheritance. I also pray that I will understand the incredible greatness of God’s power for us who believe him. This is the same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead, and seated him in the place of honor, at God’s right hand, in the heavenly realms. Now he is far above any ruler or authority or power or leader or anything else—not only in this world but also in the world to come. God has put all things under the authority of Christ and has made him head over all things for the benefit of the church. And the church is his body; it is made full and complete by Christ, who fills all things everywhere with himself.

Confession of the Day 7-2-14

Father, Your Word is true and I believe it. Therefore, in the Name of Jesus, I believe in my heart and say with my mouth that the Word of God prevails over my children. Your Word says that You will pour out Your Spirit upon my offspring and Your blessing upon my descendants. I believe and say that my children are wise and that they take heed to and are the fruit of godly instruction and correction. I love my children and I will diligently discipline them early. Because of that, they give me delight and rest.

Father, I take Your Word that says You will contend with him who contends with me, and You give safety to my children and ease them day by day. They are blessed when they come in and when they go out. I confess that You, Lord, give Your angels special charge over my children to accompany and defend and preserve them. I believe they find favor, good understanding and high esteem in Your sight, Lord, and in the sight of man.

I confess that my children are disciples taught of the Lord and obedient to Your will. Great is their peace and undisturbed composure. I believe I receive wisdom and counsel in bringing up my children in the discipline and instruction of the Lord. And Your Word declares that when they are old they will not depart from it. So I commit them to Your keeping and I know and have confidence and trust that they are watched over and blessed of the Lord all the days of their lives, in Jesus’ Name.

Confession of the Day 4-29-14

Confession of the Day—I receive the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of my understanding being enlightened. And I am not conformed to this world but am transformed by the renewing of my mind. My mind is renewed by the Word of God (Ephesians 1:17-18; Romans 12:2).

Thought of the Day 3-20-14

To whom He said, “This is the rest with which You may cause the weary to rest,” And, “This is the refreshing”; Yet they would not hear. (Isaiah 28:12 NKJV)

In times of tension, confusion, and stress, people generally show signs of fatigue. This is especially true in our world where so much is made of achievements, progress and results. People of all ages, from teenagers to the elderly, struggle with tremendous pressure. The results leave scars on the spirits and minds of people, and they yearn for rest and peace.

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6, 7 NKJV)

Yet in the midst of our overly-busy lives, Christ kindly invites us, “Come to Him”.
Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. (Matthew 11:28 NKJV). It is remarkable that so few people respond to this invitation. We much rather look for man-made ideas to help us cope with pressures of life. It is incomprehensible that people hesitate to turn to Jesus Christ and accept the only true peace.

And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful. (Colossians 3:15 NKJV)

Regardless of how busy you are, it is important that you make time to withdraw from the demands of each day and spend time in the quietness at the feet of Jesus. Focus all your attention on Him, and His love. In the quietness, become soaked in, and strengthened by His peace. Make sure you do this on a regular basis. Regardless of how demanding your life may be, you will experience a feeling of strength, peace, and tranquility while the Holy Spirit ministers His healing power in your life.

Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, (Acts 3:19 NKJV)

Confession of the Day—-You have forgiven all my iniquities; you have healed all my diseases; you, have redeemed my life from destruction; you have satisfied my mouth with good things, so that my youth is renewed as the eagles. (Psalms 103:2,5)
