Thought of the Day 8-26-14

The Late Archbishop Temple says: “The world will be saved by one one thing, and that is worship.” Dr. Nelson Ferre says, “A praying church is a worshipping church, a worshipping church is a working church.”

Thought of the Day 8-21-14

But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you. (John 14:26 NKJV)

The Holy Spirit takes you beyond hearing with your ears and helps you listen with your heart.

Thought of the Day 8-19-14

Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s. (I Corinthians 6:19, 20 NKJV)

When we come to realize that everything we are and everything we own belongs to God, then everything God owns belongs to us. Meditate upon this today.

Thought of the Day 8-15-14

For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my understanding is unfruitful. (I Corinthians 14:14 NKJV)

Your spirit is actively communicating with God when you pray in other tongues as the Spirit gives you utterance. This is the great enablement in prayer because it is through your spirit that God gives you guidance.

For he who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God, for no one understands him; however, in the spirit he speaks mysteries. (I Corinthians 14:2 NKJV)

When you pray in tongues, you are praying the mysteries of God. So as you seek The Lord for your guidance and direction, the Holy Spirit will help you pray out the mysteries of God’s plan for your life as you pray in other tongues. I personally found out that praying in tongues is the best way to get my mind and body quiet, so I can hear what my spirit is saying.
